# Software License Agreement

This game, product or service uses the Balnoom License (based on All Rights Reserved), which can be seen below. The license defines copyright, what can be done with the product and what is prohibited. For legal blub regarding usage of user data and privacy, see PRIVACY.md. For "the game rules", such as limitations on cheating, see the Terms of Service at TOS.md.

# Balnoom License 
The Balnoom License is based on the strict "All Rights Reserved" license. The following will go into detail on the license's limitations and permissions.

## 1. Grant of License
- This license grants you the right to play the game for personal entertainment. Commercial use is strictly prohibited, with the sole exception of Content Creation as defined in Section 3.
- You are free to use (or play) the product from any official source, such as the GitHub page, galaxy.click, or mobile releases. You are not at fault for unofficial, illegal re-uploads.
- Accessing the source code on GitHub, or with browser tools, does not grant you any rights to modify, fork, redistribute, or use the code in other projects.

## 2. Restrictions (Code & Integrity)
You are strictly prohibited from:
*   **Modifying:** Changing, adapting, or creating derivative works of the source code or game assets. This includes hacks and mods.
*   **Cheating:** Using, developing, or distributing hacks, bots, or any third-party software that interferes with the game or its server communication (e.g., player count, stats), or modifying your stats, using auto clickers (unless the game allows it in the ToS), macros, or other ways of intentionally gaining an unfair advantage.
*   **Reverse Engineering:** Decompiling or attempting to extract the source code for unauthorized use. Viewing the source code via GitHub or browser developer tools for educational purposes is permitted, but copying, reusing, or redistributing the code remains strictly prohibited.

## 3. Content Creation (Permitted Uses)
We love community content! You have explicit permission to:
*   Create, upload, and monetize videos or livestreams (e.g. YouTube, Twitch, TikTok) featuring gameplay, update ideas, strategies, or other content regarding the game.
*   You are permitted to use the ingame music or other tracks by Balnoom Music. This is not limited to our games, as the music is intended to be free to use for content creation. Credit is not required, but recommended.
*   **Exception:** This permission is strictly revoked for any content that showcases, explains, or promotes unauthorized modifications, hacks, cheats, or exploits. Sharing such content on any platform (including but not limited to YouTube or Discord) is a violation of this license.

### 3.2 Community Use of Assets:
You are permitted to use game sprites and assets for non-commercial, game-related purposes such as fanart, wiki entries, or creating suggestion concepts. You do not gain any ownership of the original assets. 

For image licenses in a wiki, the fitting category is "This is copyrighted, but use is permitted by the copyright holder" or "Balnoom license".

## 4. Server Access & Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your access to server-side features (like player counts or leaderboards) if you violate any terms of this license. If you are on our Discord server, you may also get banned from there.

## 5. Disclaimer of Warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY.

## 6. Severability
If any provision of this license is held to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

## 7. Changes to License:
We reserve the right to update this license at any time. The most current version of this license, hosted on our official GitHub repository or website, supersedes all previous versions. By continuing to use the software or its associated services, you agree to be bound by the updated terms, even if an older version of the software may contain an outdated or missing license file.
